Class structure and details:

  • 1.5 hour classes, 2 times per week for 2 weeks + a 2 hour online seminar

  • total of 8 hours of education, exposure, and experience in a group setting

  • access to our learning portal, featuring video recaps of everything taught during the live sessions

  • outdoor classes (to deal with real-life situations); indoor classes during extreme cold weather

Foundations

Foundations is designed to get you working with your dog right away regardless of age or breed.  You’ll learn how to form desirable behaviours and how to positively reinforce them, as well as effective ways to stop common unwanted behaviours.  It’s never too early, or too late, to begin training your dog.

What will my dog and I learn together

  • important skills like ‘sit‘, ‘stay‘ and ‘come‘ even when distracted at the park

  • understand how your dog thinks, learns and perceives the world so you can more easily train them

  • self control to help your dog learn not to bark, jump on people or chase the cat

  • train your dog to stop pulling on the walk with loose leash walking

  • ways to get your dog to focus on you, even with squirrels and bunnies around

  • exposure to different outdoor environments to learn how to handle real-life situations
