For puppies between 2 and 5 months

Raising a dog is one of the most rewarding things you can do, but it’s not always easy.  The manners you teach your puppy during these first six months of their life (before their adolescent stage), will extend to the rest of their life.  This is their formative period when they’re trying to figure out how to fit into our human world… and they need your help!

I’m getting a puppy! Now what?

Congratulations on getting a puppy - you are on the right track just by looking into training! Clever Canines will show you how to teach your puppy how they fit into your life and build confidence in what can be a big, scary world.  By spending time now to become a knowledgeable owner, your puppy will have a leg up on growing into a well-mannered family member.  Clever Pups will help you understand your puppy and help you have a great life together.

Do I need training? He sits already!

It’s awesome that you are starting training at home already.  However, socialization is just as important as manners, and YouTube is no match for being in situations where you can see how your pup interacts with people, dogs, and their environment. Clever Pups will teach you to help guide them to behave appropriately and have good experiences.  Clever Pups will help you master the obedience and social skills your dog needs to know.

I just really want to have a nice dog.

It’s impossible to comprehend the possibility of a sweet puppy growing up to dislike other dogs, people, or developing behaviour problems like becoming destructive or having anxiety. People with reactive or impolite dogs didn’t plan on the dog being that way.  Often this critical puppy stage was neglected, or they weren’t training consistently, and bad behaviours increased over time.  Clever Pups will show you how to teach your pup to behave appropriately and respectfully right from the start.
