Clever Canines was designed with one goal in mind: to save and improve dog's lives. By coaching and assisting current dog owners with proper obedience, etiquette and street safety training, our faithful companions will have better lives which automatically enhances our own. We do not use treats or gimmicks to train your dog.

When I witness the success of my clients and observe the bond of respect, dedication and love that they have with their dogs, I am completely ecstatic! The relationship that grows between dog and owner is one beyond what most people have ever imagined. It is amazing to watch dogs being dogs in their truest and happiest form.

Calgary born and raised, Tracie Nielson has always had a canine companion by her side. As a dog owner and Canine Educator/Trainer & Behaviorist, she has studied dog behavior, communication, different training styles and has successfully worked with dogs of all breeds, sizes and ages. Tracie lives in Calgary with her Chow-Chow German Shepard cross, Niko and Australian Shepherd, Foster. Together they have shared a friendship unlike any other while experiencing unconditional love, overcoming challenges and increasing their bond on a daily basis. Tracie's love for animals, especially dogs, makes her a natural when it comes to working with your prized companion. She strives for excellence with every dog she meets. Tracie is dedicated to her study of canine behavior and communication as she finds the history of man's best friend to be fascinating.
